The Tatami is used as a sort of rug on the floor in Japan. Made according to authentic traditional Japanese methods (IGUSA in Japanese). The surface of the Tatami is covered with plants woven intricately. All the stems are selected according to size with the utmost care. The quality of the Tatami appears and can be checked in the manner of weaving. The plants used for the Tatamis are living plants. They will absorb dampness in the event of wet weather. On the contrary they will emit moisture when the weather is too dry. Moreover they absorb CO2 in the environment. Therefore the Tatami is a magic product.
